There are three kinds of brake pad failures that often occur, and simply changing the pads cannot solve the problem
 Whether it is a small car or a large car, the braking problem of the car is very critical, and many traffic accidents are also caused by the failure of the braking system.  So for the faults in the braking system, today Taizhou Dongna will first talk about the common faults that can be caused by the brake pads. Even if the brake pads are newly replaced, such faults may occur.
Fault 1: Beep
 There are abnormal noises in the brakes. Many drivers feel that the brake pads should be replaced, but the vehicles that have changed the brake pads still have abnormal brake noises. What is going on?  Take a look at the introduction below and you will understand.
 Situation 1: The owner only needs to replace the brake pads
 According to the actual situation, after the old brake pads are worn and thinned, the probability of scratching the disc (or brake drum) is more than 50%, but many car owners only want to replace the brake pads, or think that the scratch of the disc is not a big problem, so  we don't choose to check and replace together. Of course, the cost of replacing together is also a factor considered by the car owner.  Therefore, many vehicles that have replaced brake pads still have abnormal noises when braking, and this situation will lead to increased wear of the brake discs and pads and shorten the service life.  Therefore, when replacing the new disc, you should take the initiative to check whether there are scratches on the brake disc, and then check again when the new disc sounds, only to find that there are scratches on the brake disc. For car owners, time delays will affect income again.  As far as the repair shop is concerned, it may also be troubled by the car owner, or even follow-up troubles such as claims.  For scratched discs (or brake drums), choose according to the depth of the scratches, smooth them or replace them with new ones.  For the maintenance personnel, after giving suggestions, if the owner disagrees, it should be indicated on the maintenance form and signed by the driver, which will avoid the driver's compensation due to sound or damage to the disc in the future.
 Situation 2: The brake disc or brake drum is not scratched, but there is still abnormal sound when the new disc is replaced
 This situation is caused by two factors.  One is improper operation when changing clothes, and the other is product quality problems.  The first reason may be that the repairman installed the brake pads in a biased manner. When checking again, it can be seen that there are only partial friction marks on the surface of the brake pads.  Or it is caused by loose accessories on the brake pads. The solution to this situation is relatively simple, just remove it and reinstall it to tighten it loosely.  Or when changing the equipment, the maintenance master did not notice the small foreign objects mixed on the disk, drum, and sheet, such as iron filings or fragments falling from the old sheet.  Replacing without cleaning will result in damage to the plate and splinters.Therefore, inspection and cleaning should be carried out during replacement to avoid unnecessary trouble.
 The second reason is the product factor. At present, the size of the friction block of the same type of brake pad is not exactly the same among the original and auxiliary manufacturers in China, especially the width of the friction block, and the size deviation can reach up to 3 mm.  This leads to the incomplete fit after assembly, and there will be abnormal noise when the new film is paired with the old drum, but generally it is not a big problem.  It can be driven for a period of time, and it will not make a sound after the traces match.  Second, the current national regulations prohibit the use of asbestos-containing brake pads, but domestic large manufacturers generally do so, while some small manufacturers are still producing and selling asbestos-containing brake pads.  This kind of brake pad has a lower price, but it is not conducive to environmental protection and human health, and has a short life and soft braking.  Therefore, when replacing brake pads, don't be greedy for cheap, but choose products from regular manufacturers.
Fault 2: The friction block drops slag or falls off
 The slag falling off of the friction block is not only a problem of the quality of the brake pads, but also the failure of the brake caliper and frequent braking.
 1. If the color of the friction block does not change but slag falls off, it is a product quality problem and should be replaced with a new one.
 2. The slag or fall off after the friction block changes color, the reasons can be divided into the following:
 1) If the brake caliper does not return, if the brake caliper does not return for a long time, the temperature of the brake pad will be too high, resulting in ablation and deterioration of the friction material, or failure of the adhesive. In this case, the friction material will turn red or yellow  , this is not a product quality reason, but a new piece must be replaced and the brake caliper must be repaired.
 2)Long-term braking leads to slag or shedding: firstly, this kind of situation occurs more frequently in mountainous areas, and secondly, it occurs more frequently on expressways; in mountainous areas, due to steep slopes and long roads, experienced drivers use point brakes to go downhill. However, novices often brake continuously for a long time, which can easily cause the chip to be ablated, slag and block off, and the color of this slag and block will also turn red or yellow.
 3. In an emergency, the point brake often loses its effect and must be braked continuously. This kind of high-intensity braking often also causes the film to heat up sharply, ablation, slag and block removal.  The flakes can also change color to red or yellow.
Fault three: Brake failure
 Brake failure is terrible, especially the sudden failure is very dangerous. Speaking from the brake pads alone, one is the brake pads, and the surface of the brake disc drum has lubricated grease.  It may be caused by the oil leakage of the hub bearing, or it may be accidentally stained with grease on the replacement.  The solution is to replace it with a new one. The second is that the brakes fail after driving for a period of time. This kind of situation mostly happens when there is water on the road, just when you step on the brakes when passing through a puddle, the high-temperature chips and discs will be quenched when they encounter cold water, forming a hard oxide layer on the disc surface of the disc, and its surface is hard when it comes into contact with the brake disc. Friction is severely reduced. In this case, the brake pads and discs must also be replaced. Therefore, when driving in rainy days, you must pay attention to the driving style before and after crossing the water, and avoid long-term braking and frequent braking.
